About Us: Hours and LocationIMPORTANT MESSAGE REGARDING NOVEL CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19): March 16, 2020. By order of the health officer of the County of Santa Clara, all individuals living in the county are to shelter at their place of residence. The order also includes a directive to cease non-essential operations at physical locations in the county. Due to this order, and effective immediately, SVACA will be closed to the public until further notice with the exception of animal emergencies.

We'll be staffing our phones during regular business hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. to help answer questions and to assist with emergency matters.

Our Animal Control Officers will respond to animals in need in the cities of Campbell, Monte Sereno, Mountain View and Santa Clara during regular business hours seven days per week and after hours for emergencies, as always. Our staff will continue to give top notch care for those animals currently at the center.We'll be monitoring this situation closely and hope to be back to normal soon.

Field Services Hours

Monday - Friday: 7:00am to 7:00pm Weekend/Holiday: 8:00am to 6:00pm Animal Control Officers are available 24-hours-a-day for emergencies.

Stray Animal Receiving

Daily 8:00am - 5:30pm (except Wednesday 8:00am - 7:00pm) Monday - closed*

*Night receiving kennels for stray healthy animals from Campbell, Monte Sereno, Mountain View and Santa Clara are available for drop-off when SVACA is closed. Animals from other jurisdictions are received at the Humane Society Silicon Valley, Palo Alto Animal ServicesSan Jose Animal Services or Santa Clara County Animal Control. For emergencies and/or injured stray animals in Campbell, Monte Sereno, Mountain View or Santa Clara, please contact the Campbell Police Department who provides after hours dispatch services at (408) 866-2101 and an Animal Control Officer will be dispatched to assist you. Please do not abandon owned animals at the center as it is illegal and violators will be prosecuted. SVACA offers animal surrender options for Campbell, Monte Sereno, Mountain View and Santa Clara residents during normal business hours.

*Please note: SVACA's phones are answered on Mondays between the hours of 8am and 5pm, though the Center is closed.
