Celebrate Companion Animals is a Smashing Success

Post Date:05/05/2007

On May 5, 2007, we held our first annual adoptathon, Celebrate Companion Animals, in conjunction with the Silicon Valley Tails Pet Magazine and the North Shore Animal Rescue League. Over 350 people attended and fourteen rescue groups participated.

Many animals were adopted and we even raised a bit of money for the animals through a raffle. In fact, we adopted all of our dogs in one day! It was a strange but terrific feeling to walk into our adoption lobby and see all the empty rooms! SJ Sharkie even made an appearance! Thanks so much to all who donated their time and/or items to make the event such a smashing success! We would especially like to thank SVACA Volunteer Susan Pi for all her hard work in helping to coordinate the event. We hope to see everyone again next year!
